![[AD] I was recently asked by The National Lottery @tnluk what winning £10K a month for the next 30 years would mean to me. The top prize for the new Set For Life game is just that! Different to a huge windfall in one lump sum, this is a great sum of money to receive on a regular basis and unlike the former, isn’t something I’d really thought about before!
I realised it was an opportunity to reassess my bucket list, alongside my goals and what’s important to me - something we should all do on a regular basis in my opinion.
While I have big ideas around travel, volunteering and physical challenges, more than anything I’d love to have more time to learn new skills I can use around the home and practise with my daughter. I’ve learnt I really enjoy using my hands to make things, like these little concrete pots I was able to make when I took some time off work last year. But I’d also love to learn how to arrange flowers, knit and macrame among other things. There are so many wonderful workshops around these days, I’d do one a day if I could!
I’m also really conscious my daughter is growing up and the time I’ll have her to myself is so limited. I have friends with eight year olds who won't hold their parents hands walking down the street anymore. That’s only a couple of years away for me and the thought breaks my heart! So £10K a month now would free up my time to learn new things but also to concentrate on Molly and making our time together extra special. We could make and do all sorts of things, go places and just hang out. Wouldn’t that be dreamy!
