I wanted to share something of great poignancy in relation to the house renovation and the personal sacrifices we’re making.
Following on from my previous blog about the removal of the plaster walls and lathe, I think it’s clear we’re putting in the hours. Alongside our full-time day jobs it was knackering but early on there was a further, unexpected, sacrifice we’d have to make.
Take a look at the photo above and take a minute to appreciate how impressive that beard is.
Now take a look at this picture and realise how dusty it was in the house. Unfortunately the massiveness of beard meant that Liam’s dust mask didn’t sit tight on his face. In rooms where you sometimes couldn’t see for dust, it was a harsh reality but the beard had to go. Sob.
I never took an after photo, for obvious reasons (sorry Liam, aka bum chin), but I do have this freaky Dubsmash video…
